Jackson Rancheria Weekly Karaoke Contest
Jackson Rancheria Casino & Hotel is hosting a weekly Karaoke Contest on Tuesdays from October 7 through December 23 in the Grand Oak Ballroom at the Hotel.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., registration is from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., and the contest starts at 7 p.m.
There is no admission charge and a no host bar will be available. Must be 18 or older to participate.
Come watch the fun or sign up to compete for a share of over $13,000 in prizes.. Winners will be determined by three impartial judges and receive cash prizes.
Weekly winners receive:
- $300 for first place
- $200 for second place
- $100 for third place
In addition, all three weekly winners are eligible to compete in the Grand Finale on Tuesday, December 30. The Grand Finale winners receive:
- $3,000 for first place winner
- $2,000 for second place
- $1,000 for third place.

Revised Karaoke rules (effective October 28, 2008):
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Dreamcatcher’s Club membership is not required. Jackson Rancheria employees are allowed to participate.
- Registration will be held between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. We will accept one complete song slip per person at the registration table. Your name, the song title and artist must be on the slip.
- Anyone discovered submitting more than one slip or slips under a different name will be disqualified from the competition.
- All entries will be placed in a drawing drum. No entries will be accepted at 6:45 p.m. No exceptions.
- The host will draw the names from the drawing drum. At 7 p.m. the first three entrant’s names will be displayed on the screen in the ballroom. The remainder of the names will appear one by one on the screen throughout the content.
- There will be a total of 30 contestants per event.
- Song catalogs are available on tables throughout the room. Only songs listed in the catalog may be performed. If you would like to verify that a song is available, email the Host directly at john@ndsound.com. Allow a minimum of three days for a response.
- No explicit lyrics. Jackson Rancheria reserves the right to decline any song if deemed inappropriate.
- After the winners are announced, you may perform without being part of the contest.
- Participants can turn in only one song slip. Duets count as one turn for each singer. If you make the Finale as a duet, you must perform at a duet.
- Winners will be determined by three impartial judges, who will select a first, second, and third place winner each week. Participants may not place more than three times during the duration of the contest.
- Weekly winners will be invited to participate in the Grand Finale on Tuesday, December 30.
- Be kind to everyone. It takes a lot of courage to get up in front of people and perform. Please show respect for the singers. No booing or heckling.
